Founded in 2016, Plymouth Rock Technologies began as a sensing and imaging company, developing new technologies for detecting concealed mass casualty threat items.

In 2019, we started to look into the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) market to mount our sensors to detect from the air as part of our research and development process. We could not find a suitable platform that could deliver on payload capacity, flight time or enough surplus electrical resource to power external systems.

Working with technical partners, we designed and produced our first UAV – X1.

From the feedback at several international trade shows, it became evident that the interest in our Aircraft exceeded interest in our sensors. We decided to expand our business to address the key challenges of unmanned technologies, such as heavy lift Vertical T​ake-Off and Landing (VTOL), reliable B​eyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) capabilities and the fusion of hybrid aircraft propulsion.

In 2021, sales of our unmanned aircraft made it clear that the company needed to pivot to focus on the products that would generate immediate revenue so as not to dilute resources or share pool.

Today, we have a fleet of seven Aircraft models and Aerospace components that we’re selling to globally recognized organizations and brands.
